Blogs & Bonds

When I started blogging, I knew no one in the blogsphere. I just treated my previous blog as a space to voice out my frustration and to a certain extent, gain some attention I was lacking of. Yes, i succeeded in my mission - I gain not only attention but friendship. Now, that was an added bonus which I never expect in the first place.

I slowly build a network, which consisted of blogmates who knew me through my writing. My writing which reflected my inner desires, feelings, opinions etc brought me wonderful friends. Even now, my YM has a long list of such friends I gain through the blogsphere. I had so much fun exploring into a new world - a world that promised me the wonders of friendship.

However, they have slowly varnished from the blogsphere and those still here don't seem to be passionate about it. No, I'm not talking about a single common platform like Mindsblog or Betweenus, but about the healthy 'blog visits' we used to have, the long chats we used to have in the comment section. Many can be just passed as junks but it was lively. We used to have this small online gatherings in YM voice conference, and it was used to be so damn lovely!!! Gosh.. I'm missing all that now.

You guys are wonderful, leaving me comments which spurred me to write more and more. I should thank the regulars as well as the silent readers. But don't you feel things are getting more and more formal? So formal that we are losing the fun side of blogging?

But I'm missing my old days here. Where are you guys? Where is the passion? Where is the love? Where is the bond?

Oh yikes, i'm sorry! For vanishing from here and for being selfish with my time. :( I'm guilty of only remembering to visit bloggies that visit mine in the first place. I'm sorry again!

But it's true, it is getting kinda.. how would you put it, tedious? I'm thinking so hard just to come up with something and when i can't, i get all stressed up. It has become so unnatural.

You reminded me, a few of my ex-regulars have disappeared altogether. Maybe i wasn't paying enough attention to them or something. Or started to write things that they weren't used to reading.. 'formal' stuff like you said.

BYE! But hopefully, not for too long.

Sometimes that's all it takes to venture out into places we've never been before for the same experience we want.

Explore ideals, perceptions, people we won't think of trying. Whenever I start to feel bogged down by the weight of my environment, I simply stop, return to why I started (in this case, why I blog) and then find a new place where I can be accepted.

As luck would have it in my case, I found places like the WordPress community and 9rules and it's opened up a whole new world to explore and still be myself.

First I'd really like to know..how long have you been blogging ?

This stagnancy makes me wonder so...though i havent yet arrived at that juncture, and i fervently hope that i dont...

And dear, every relationship has its own time, a time when the initial fizz settles donw to give space to a more stable and solid matter.

YOu may not be having the long conference chats, you maynt be having long comment chats..but that dont mean, you lost your frens na.

Mebbe they're just busy, everyone gets once in a while..give it some time..

Things will bounce back..they always do !

I think when things are new, we get intrigued and pay a lot of attention to them. I was in LOVE with orkut once upon a time. I did everything on Orkut. I had even started using it as an instant messenger. And I would never get bored of it. These days I log on for a fleeting two seconds.

Same thing happened with blogger. As my network started increasing, I got more enthusiastic and refreshed my blog frequently. Now since I dont have internet access for the past 5 days, I feel like people have forgotten about me. Do not get so many visits, and do not get so many comments.

I guess we just need to spice things up a bit!!

Anyway, I will blog roll you and leave you a comment for every new post you have ok? Now smile!!!!

Come check out Hum Tum on my blog. :)

well, that's the thing about blogging you know.. we gotta have it constantly intriguing for all of us to communicate. i know my blog isn't as interesting as it used to be, and i can see the vast difference in comments. so yeah, be the change you wish to see.

I do have sometimes back this YM in conference with blog buddies, but today none is there to even chat. "So formal that we are losing the fun side of blogging?" at first know bloggers it was more fun, but it was least now and it can increase with people interest… lets hope!

@ usws

lolz. sorry. i didnt mean to pin point anyone. i agree now it has become rather 'tedious' to visit everyone - simply because our blogging network has become bigger and bigger.

@ kamigoroshi

interesting.. may be i should sit down and think again "why i blog". maybe i will find myself an entirely new place!

thanks!
