"Most politicians are like monkeys.. why would I wanna join a zoo?"
- Datuk Vinod Sekhar, 8.11.08, UPM
Hilarious? :-P
Well.. that was one of many quotes from Datuk Vinod Sekhar, the youngest richest man in Malaysia lifted up from his talk "An Afternoon with Datuk Vinod Sekhar" yesterday at my (former) faculty, UPM.
I still remember listening to him in a convention last year. It was organized by the same organization, The Mind, just like what it just did this year with an exception that this was done with collaboration with Indian Graduates Association of UPM (IGAUPM) which I am now a member. And it is no secret that I am very fond of my (former) faculty and uni. So naturally when I got the invite link for the event, I signed-up without giving much thought.

I didn't really see many ex-UPM mates there. Lots of outsiders though. Nevertheless Mahen & Puvanan made their way to the talk. Overall it was a good talk which was diverse in its discussion. It would be great if talks in the future be focused a little bit more - ie. either business-focused or community-focused. That way those who came all the way to discuss or listen to specific talk will not get disappointed. Just my 2 cents worth.
As usual, some pics of the event to be shared..

A place I am fond of.. feels good to be back there sometimes..

The registration was smooth. Well-organized there.

What is supposedly the schedule. Unfortunately I feel it was dragged a little (read 1 hour) during the Q & A session.

His own talk was kept according to time.

The freebies. Notice the book by former US President, Bill Clinton? :P

I think he loves Mickey Mouse. How about you?

Yes, he loves Mickey Mouse. He was also interviewed on 'World's richest People' on Ch. 707 on Astro early this year. He is an amazing person - made and lost a fortune before turning 26, if memory serves me correctly. Mel Gibson n Bill Clinton r some of his friends - Wow! He da Man!!!
A very beneficial talk indeed......should have like this more....: )
