There is story of a red string which I always share with my girlfriends whenever they come to me, confused with their choice of partner. I'm not in a successful relationship and I never was. But I held on to this story, told by my friend when I was in Form 4. I don't know where she got the story from, but I remind myself of it whenever.. hmm.. well, whenever I need it :P
The story behind the red string:
Apparently there is this belief that when you are born, you are tied with your soul mate using an invisible red string. The red string is very flexible; it allows you to travel wherever you want and even let you to have relationship with anyone you want. But when the time comes, it will pull you back to your soul mate. So, wait patiently for the string to pull you back, and yes, you will feel it when its pulling you back.

I read this story in disbelief! this is a lovely song forever.
