They are affectionate.
Shower them with love and they will give their love to you. No hanky panky there. They are so genuine with their feelings. I see that with Bobby - such an adorable pet of mine.
They protect you.
Its no secret that dogs make excellent guards - hence we have the phrase "guard dogs". Do you know some dogs can be very protective of you regardless they are from the guard dog category or not? There is no verbal or written agreement that they should be protecting you. It's their instinct to protect someone they love. I wish some humans are like that too.
You can reach out to them.
You are having a bad day, need someone to talk and you just can't find a decent homosapiens to listen to you. So what do you do then? Talk to your dog instead. They are a very good listener, mind you. The only setback is that they don't talk to you back. But it's okay, we just need someone to listen isn't it?
You can cuddle them as much as you like.
They won't push you away. In fact, the more you cuddle them, the better it is :P. And they will not take advantage of you *wink
They become a part of your life.
If you are caring enough to be a part of their life, they immediately become a part of yours. No nego there! I still missing Girl, the Silky Terrier I had for years before she succumbed to kidney failure in April. I miss watching her 'investigate' every single thing around the house - yea, she was a part of my life.

I certainly agree with you on dogs, they are great being practice with humans and be affectionate a lot and I learn that from our pet. One needs better situation to have them, which we lack is troublesome with dogs and being in apartments. Lovely bobby :)
just hope wont get ridden too much by kids till the fella cannot take care of u . haha
