A Wedding Road Trip

Road trips don't happen to me always. It's rather rare for me to sit dreaming in the car while someone drives it at full speed :P. Anyway, it happened last week and was rather a long road trip. Had loads of fun over the weekend. Some photos to sum it up:

Ipoh Old Town White Coffee
Our first stop after leaving KL was Ipoh. Had breakfast and energised for the rest of the trip.

Station Hotel, Ipoh
The Station Hotel, Ipoh. It was freaking hot, but we managed few shots.

War Memorial, Taiping
Picked up a friend in Taiping, who became our tour guide. Brought us to this War Memorial. A bit spooky, but it was nice.

Lake Garden, Taiping
The Lake Garden in Taiping. I would say this is the best ever photo in the whole trip. Loved the lake!

Nalunggu ceremony
It was about time for nalunggu (pre-wedding) ceremony by time we reached Nibong Tebal, Penang. Spent considerable time in groom's place before retiring for the night.

Wedding ceremony
The wedding ceremony was from 10-12. And the girls actually got up at 7 to get ready! :P

Wedding ceremony
Some of us with the newly-weds

Kellie's Castle
Left Nibong Tebal after the wedding and on our way back, we stopped by Kellie's Castle in Batu Gajah.

UTP, Tronoh
Mahen then brought us to his former campus in Tronoh before continuing our journey back to KL. Futuristic but freaking hot!

End of the roadtrip
In short, I loved the trip.

Check out my flickr set for more photos.
